Companionship Visitor
Visit seniors at home or in care homes to offer companionship over a cup of tea or a shared activity. Social support helps to reduce isolation and has an overall positive effect on seniors’ wellbeing.
Who: Anyone over the age of 18

Community Support Caller
Call people experiencing isolation and loneliness to have a friendly chat and check on their well-being.
Who: Anyone over the age of 18 with good communication skills, (second languages welcome)

Helping Hand
Provide practical support to seniors in their homes; make a meal; help with light housework; provide transport for shopping or appointments.

Living Well Dying Well
Helping people to prepare for and approach the subject of death with their family and friends, Living Well Dying Well offers people with serious and life-limiting illness, and their loved ones, the quality information, awareness, care and volunteer companionship they require at that time in their life.

Be with people as they walk new paths post institutional release (prisons, hospitals, mental health units) as well as others who are experiencing isolation or who are vulnerable. Volunteer Companions provide a community welcome, transforming connection and a sense of belonging to individuals who are navigating challenge and change.

We offer student placement opportunities for selected tertiary level students, to support their learning with practical experience in the fields of social work, community services, mental health, clinical therapies and other related community welfare courses.
