The HOPE program was established in 2017 to meet a service delivery gap for young women with complex needs and whose children are vulnerable in multiple domains, including social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language. The work we do aims to help young families to stay together by combating the existing social and economic disadvantage of young pregnant women and mums (16-25).
On this page you will find all the resources and materials you will need to read and complete prior to your first volunteering experience with HOPE, along with notifications of upcoming HOPE events or volunteer opportunities.
Thank you again and we look forward to working with you.
Before you participate in any HOPE events or volunteering opportunities you are required to complete the following training videos and activities:
On Thursday 12 May the HOPE program is holding a Mother’s Day lunch and pamper event to celebrate the young mums in the program. The HOPE caseworkers will set up a mini-creche at the event, but they will need help to look after the babies and young children.
As a HOPE Big Sister, there is a volunteering opportunity to help look after the babies and young children in the creche while our mums are busy enjoying mini massages, nail painting, origami and other activities.
